India opener Virender Sehwag is in Delhi to consult his personal physician on a rib injury he sustained during a practice session last week.
He took a day's break from training after being hit by a local bowler in the nets last Friday, but is expected to return to Bangalore and join his teammates on Wednesday.
Sehwag's fitness, of late, is cause for concern for the team management.
The batsman, who hurt his left knee while attempting a cut shot in the first match against Bangladesh in Mirpur, is also carrying a mild shoulder injury that has prevented him from bowling.
He scored 35 in Sunday's dramatic tie against England and was there in the field for the entire duration.
India's next match is against Ireland in Bangalore on March 6.
