India's injury list is growing since the World Cup started.

Virender Sehwag is the latest to get on it. The dashing opener picked another injury ahead of Sunday's crucial World Cup Group B match against England in Bangalore.

Sehwag, who smashed a match-winning 175 in the tournament opener against Bangladesh, was hit on his left ribcage while batting in the nets. This is in addition to the knee injury he suffered during the opening match.

But the Board of Control for Cricket in India was quick to dismiss any speculation on his fitness.

"He is currently under medication; however, he is expected to be fit for the match against England on Sunday," the BCCI said on Friday.

Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh is also nursing an injury on his hand after being struck in the nets by pacer S Sreesanth.

Sachin Tendulkar underwent an MRI scan earlier in the week after swelling in his right knee, while pacer Ashish Nehra is suffering from a back pain.
