Yashasvi Jaiswal's second fifty of the match took Mumbai to 89 for no loss in their second innings after Deepak Hooda helped Rajasthan reach 617 for six in their first essay, giving the hosts a massive 363-run first innings lead in a Ranji Trophy Group D game, in Jaipur, on Monday.
Hooda, who completed his hundred on Day 2, went on to score 248 off 335 balls to push record Ranji champions Mumbai further back in the game.
Kartik Sharma (139) also shone for Rajasthan.
At stumps on Day 3, Jaiswal was batting on a run-a-ball 56 alongside Musheer Khan who was on 32 off 76, trailing Rajasthan by 274 runs.
In Delhi, Puducherry took the first innings lead against the hosts after racking up 481 in response to Delhi's 294.
At stumps, Delhi were 76 for no loss in their second innings with Arpita Rana and Sanat Sangwan batting on 40 and 24 respectively, trailing the opposition by 111 runs.
For Puducherry, the main contributions with the bat were Ajay Rohera (151), Anand Bais (48), Aman Khan (66) and Jayant Yadav (71).

Shami goes wicket-less as Vihari ton rescues Tripura
After successful outings in the first two matches, senior pacer Mohammed Shami went wicket-less as centurion Hanuma Vihari helped Tripura punch above their weight and inch closer to Bengal's first innings total in their Group C match in Agartala.
At stumps on the third day, Tripura were 273/7 with outstation star Vihari unbeaten on 121 and skipper Manisankar Murasingh batting on 42, the two having added 73 runs for the eighth wicket.
Former champions Bengal were bowled out for 336 in their first innings, leaving Tripura to trail the fancied visitors by 63 runs heading into the final day's play.
Overnight at 336/9, Bengal were all out at the start of the day without the addition of any run, with pace spearhead Manisankar Murasingh and Rana Dutta picking up three wickets each for the home team. Bikramkumar Das chipped in with 2/16 from six overs.
Tripura were off to a disastrous start in their first innings as they slipped to 53/5, with medium pacer Mohammed Kaif inflicting maximum damage on the home team.
Kaif returned with excellent figures of 4/53 in 19 overs.
However, out-of-favour India all-rounder Vihari came to his team's rescue with a dogged hundred, which contained 17 fours and a six.
With half of the side back in the dressing room, Vihari began rebuilding the Tripura innings with a couple of hand partnerships. He first added 107 runs for the seventh wicket with Vijay Shankar (34) and then stitched an unbroken stand of 73 with Murasingh.
Meanwhile, Shami, who is seeking to come back into the Indian team and picked up plenty of wickets in the first two matches in this Ranji season, failed to taste success on the day much to the opposition camp's relief.

Karnataka in control against Kerala
The pace duo of Vidwath Kaverappa (4/42) and Vijaykumar Vyshak (3/62) shared seven wickets as Karnataka enforced the follow-on after bowling out Kerala for 238 in reply to their 586/5 declared in their Group B match, in Thiruvananthapuram.
Resuming their innings at 21/3, Kerala lost wickets at heaps to be bundled out in 95 overs.
The only silver lining for Kerala was Baba Aparajith who made resolute 88 off 159 balls with the help of eight boundaries and four hits over the fence.
Aparajith shared 86 runs for the fifth wicket with skipper Sachin Baby (31 off 82) to take Kerala past 200-run mark.
With a day's play remaining, Kerala still trail Karnataka by 338 runs with the visitors' needing 10 wickets to seal an innings victory.
In their second innings, Kerala were 10 for no loss at the close of play.
Earlier opting to bat, Karnataka rode on doubles tons from Karun Nair (233) and Ravichandran Smaran (220) to post a mammoth 586 for 5 declared.
In another Group B match in New Chandigarh, opener Suyash Prabhudessai (149 off 222) and Abhinav Tejrana (131 off 140) smashed centuries to guide Goa to 439 for three in reply to Punjab's 325 to take the vital first-innings lead.
In Indore, Chandigarh were trailing Madhya Pradesh by 148 runs in their first innings.
In reply to Madhya Pradesh's 384 for 8 declared, Chandigarh made 236 for four at stumps on the third day.
Ankit Kaushik was batting on 59, while Shivam Bhambri (52) and skipper Manan Vohra (52) also made half-centuries.
Medium pacer Aryan Pandey (2/41) and left-arm spinner Kumar Kartikeya (2/90) shared four wickets between them.

Roy puts Jharkhand on course for victory
Spin-bowling all-rounder Anukul Roy produced a career-best eight-wicket haul to dismiss Nagaland for 154 to put Jharkhand on course for an emphatic victory in their Elite Group A match in Ranchi.
The 26-year-old left-arm spinner returned figures of 8/55 as Nagaland were bowled out in 73.5 overs. Following on, the visitors were again struggling on 104/5 in 36 overs -- still 252 runs behind Jharkhand's first-innings total of 510/8 declared.
After Jharkhand declared at their overnight score of 510/8, Roy spun a web around the Nagaland batters. Only five batters managed to reach double digits, with Chetan Bist top-scoring with an unbeaten 46.
Nagaland made a decent start to their first innings as openers Sedezhalie Rupero (33) and Nischal (41) added 61 runs for the opening wicket. But once Roy cleaned up Rupero in the 36th over, the innings collapsed.
Sushant Mishra and Manishi picked up a wicket apiece.
Things were no different in the second innings as Nagaland struggled again, losing half their side within 36 overs.
Skipper Rongsen Jonathan scored a fighting fifty before being bowled by Roy, who also accounted for Imliwati Lemtur.
Manishi removed both openers, Nischal and Rupero, early before getting rid of Bist.
At stumps, Yugandhar Singh (4) and Hem Chetri (6) were at the crease.
In Cuttack, Andhra Pradesh dismissed Odisha for 151 in 56.4 overs and then enforced follow-on, putting themselves in a strong position to push for victory.
The trio of Kavuri Saiteja (3/30), Sourabh Kumar (3/32) and Tripurana Vijay (3/14) shared nine wickets among them as Odisha, resuming at 80/4, folded quickly.
Sandeep Pattnaik (58) scored a fighting half-century but lacked support from the other end as Odisha collapsed in 56.4 overs. Following on, Odisha showed better resistance, reaching 190/2 in 58 overs.
Gourav Choudhary (79 not out) and Govinda Poddar (4) were at the crease at stumps with Odisha still 134 runs behind Andhra's first-innings score of 475/7 declared.
In Coimbatore, Vidarbha, resuming at 211/2 in 68 overs, piled up 501 in 148.4 overs.
Yash Rathore struck a magnificent 133 off 189 balls with 15 boundaries, while Ravi Kumar Samarth (56), Nachiket Bhute (51 not out) and Akshay Vathkar (43) contributed useful runs.
For Tamil Nadu, Sai Kishore (5/150) picked up a five-wicket haul, while D Chandrasekhar (2/100) and Trilok Nag (3/98) also chipped in.
In reply, Tamil Nadu, who had scored 291 in their first innings, were six for no loss at stumps, with openers Athish SR and Vimal Kumar at the crease.
In Vadodara, no play was possible for the third successive day due to wet outfield following rain at the BCA Stadium.
