God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar offered prayers at the famous Lalbaugcha Raja on Tuesday with his wife Anjali and son Arjun. Thousands of devotees were elated to see their favourite cricketer.
Tendulkar has been vocal about his devotion for Lord Ganesha. Whenever in the city, he is a regular worshipper of ‘Ganpatti Bappa’ and visits Lalbaugcha Raja during the festival.
"Ganpati is in my heart. It is not because it is the Ganesh Utsav that I remember or worship Ganpati; I remember and pray to him everyday," Tendulkar had told Rediff.com some years back.
Recently, Yuvraj Singh and former South African cricketer Jhonty Rhodes were at Tendulkar's residence in Bandra to seek blessing of Lord Ganesha.
Maharashtra wears a lively look during the 10-day festivities as Hindus welcome Lord Ganesha, the destroyer of obstacles, to their homes.
