Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo are out of the side because of contractual disputes with the West Indies Cricket Board.

The West Indies named an unchanged 13-man squad, which played a 1-1 draw against Afghanistan early this month, for the first two One-Day Internationals of the five-match series against India, which begins on Friday, June 23.

The Windies will be without premier fast bowler Shannon Gabriel who is still recovering from an injury that forced him out of the Afghanistan series.

The West Indies, ranked ninth in the world, will led by fast bowler Jason Holder.

Holder and his boys need to do well as only the top eight teams in the ICC rankings get a direct entry into the 2019 World Cup.

If the Windies fail to rise in the rankings, they will need to go through the qualifiers to make it to World Cup, which, like the 2017 Champions Trophy, will be played in England.

The first game in the ODI series will be played at the Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad.

The ODIs will be followed by a one-off Twenty20 International on July 9, marking the end of the short trip for India.
