Stuart Broad: Suffering broken nose while batting has given me nightmares

Stuart Broad has admitted he is still having nightmares about enduring a broken nose while batting last summer and is working with a sports psychologist to conquer the problem.

Broad had surgery to repair damage to his face after being struck between the peak of the helmet and the grille by a short ball from India fast bowler Varun Arun in the third Test at Old Trafford. He wore a mask in the next match at the Oval to protect the injury but the nightmares did not begin until after he had surgery on his knee in September.

England cricket team 'are too nice', says Stuart Broad

There has been a lot of focus on "positive influences" and the right characters playing for England in recent times but, as the team come to terms with their World Cup predicament, there is a growing sense this bunch are too nice for their own good.
