Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar attended the 83rd Air Force Day, at the Hindon air base in Ghaziabad, on Thursday.
The Master Blaster, who retired from all forms of international cricket in November 2013, is also the first sportsperson to be made an Honourary Group Captain in the Indian Air Force.
“I am proud of the dedication of the Indian Air Force. Every member plays the part to perfection. Thank you to each one of them for their commitment and many sacrifices,” he posted on his social media pages, along with pictures in which he was seen having a good time.
Tendulkar also revealed that his son is very much interested in the IAF, but it is early to say if he would like to join it.
"I wanted to get my son here today. He is very much interested in the air force," Tendulkar said.
In 2014, Tendulkar visited the air base along with wife Anjali.
