South Africa have moved up to the second spot in the latest ICC ODI Rankings following their clean sweep in the five-match series against Australia.
Australia, despite losing the series, are still at the top of the rankings but have lost vital points.
The Faf du Plessis led-side leapfrogged New Zealand and India to within two points of Australia's tally of 118 points, reports Sport24.
The Proteas, who had started the series with 110 points, gained six points post their cruising victories against the Aussies whereas the latter plunged from 124 to 118 points.
