Overtaking the mother of all serials -- Kyun Ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi -- is no mean task. That is what Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki did this year, thanks to its lead protagonist Om Agarwal's disappearance and murder.
Though it did not rock the nation to the level of Mihir Virani's accident and death (which was later negated due to popular demand), Om's disappearance did create quite a hullabaloo amongst the television audience in India.
The leap, entry of Suresh Mehra, Parvati's subsequent marriage to him and a new-look Parvati's only strengthened the serial's position as the numero uno of 2006.
