After the Ambani brothers split, Anil Ambani took over as chairman of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group.
The ADAG companies include Reliance Communications, Reliance Capital, Reliance Energy and the Reliance Natural Resources Limited.
Anil, 47, joined Reliance in 1983 as co-chief executive officer and was centrally involved in every aspect of the company's management over the next 22 years. He quit as vice-chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries after the family feud.
Just 18 months after the split, ADAG is among India's top three private sector business houses on all major financial parameters, with a market capitalisation of Rs 100,000 crore ($22 billion), net assets in excess of Rs 31,500 crore ($7 billion), and net worth to the tune of Rs 27,500 crore ($6 billion).
