Dale gets his breath back

Australian seamer Adam Dale -- the man who, with Jason Gillespie not figuring in the World Cup squad, is expected to back up spearhead Glenn McGrath -- is reportedly recovering from pneumonia and readying to join the side for the upcoming World Cup.

The nippy bowler, now resting at home in Brisbane, is expected to join his team-mates this weekend. He has been away from the squad after returning home midway through the tour of the Caribbean, and there were fears that he could miss the World Cup.

Dale, however, indicated that he is on the road to recovery. This week, he participated in three bowling sessions under the eye of his coach John Buchanan. "As long as I don't do anything foolish, I should be okay," Dale said after his last session, adding that while not one hundred per cent yet, he was confident of getting there before the premier competition kicks off in mid-May.
