South Africa innings:

The first over of the South African chase was as remarkable as they come: a battle between a seam bowler at the top of his game, and a young batsman with the adrenalin pumping after his heroics against Australia.

The second ball was an inswinger that landed off, then bent back and had AB de Villiers hurrying in defence; so was the third, only the line had millimetrically altered. On ball five, the angle was a bit wider, and the break back more pronounced; the defensive push was beaten and the batsman was very lucky to survive a huge LBW shout.

And then came ball six: same sort of delivery in theory, but pulled back an inch or two shorter than the others. De Villiers by then had been hypnotized; he came forward by rote, he pushed, the ball broke back and went through the gate to hit the top of middle (0/5; 1/1).
