Senior Afghan envoy Ibragim Khikmat in the Tajikistan capital of Dushanbe on Wednesday said deposed Afghan president Burhanuddin Rabbani would return to the Afghan capital Kabul to proclaim himself the head of territories now under the control of the anti-Taleban opposition.
"He will lead the provinces freed from the Taleban and also head the task of freeing provinces now under the control of the Islamist militia," he said.
