before Qanooni: Fernandes

Defence Minister George Fernandes on Saturday said soon after the collapse of Taliban, the new rulers had sent "a few persons" to Delhi with a view to reviewing the relations between the two nations.

Describing Taliban as a creation of Pakistan, Fernandes said defence relations between India and Afghanistan dated back to several centuries.

Referring to Indo-US ties, Fernandes said there was an on-going strategic dialogue between the two countries in relation to defence matters.
