Equipment:          Very expensive. Instruments have to be imported        
                    because locally available ones are not upto the
                    mark. An electric guitar costs anything between
                    Rs 15,000 to Rs 100,000. Keyboards and drumkits
                    usually cost above Rs 100,000.                                                   

Work Hours:         A lot of rehearsals -- a minimum of three hours
                    a day for at least 10 days before the show. The
                    bands also have to negotiate for the promos,
                    check out the stage and sound settings, etc. All
                    this also takes up a lot of time.                                                  

Returns:            The performance fee vary depending on the show.
                    But, so far, the returns have been very poor.
                    Bands who perform live do so more for the music
                    and the crowds than for the moolah!
