World Cup: Football fans think out loud through these banners!

Be it protests, funny comments or a kind word, football fans put their opinions on these banners at the World Cup in Brazil!

This Dutch fan doesn't seem much like a Batman fan!

This Netherlands fan seems satisfied with two of Batman's 'sidekicks' in the team before the start of the Group B match between The Netherlands and Chile at the FIFA World Cup at Arena de Sao Paulo on June 23.

The Netherlands beat Chile 2-0 in that match.

This Portugal fan was asking for too much from Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo.

Only if he would have demanded some improved action on-field from the Portuguese winger, the Portuguese team's fate would have been a lot different today.

Ronaldo's Portugal were knocked out of the competition following a 4-0 loss against Germany in the opening match and not so decent performances to follow up. 

Portugal then went on to register a 2-2 draw with USA to put themselves in a precarious situation and by the time they beat Ghana 2-1 in their third group game it was too late.

A fan mocks Spain, England and Italy who were knocked out of the World Cup at the group stages. 

The text says 'go home' in Spanish and Italian and 'Not yet' Uruguay.

Uruguay were eventually knocked out of the competition at the last 16 stage after they were beaten by Columbia.

These Nigerian football fans used the World Cup to show their frustration against Militant Islamist group Boko Haram that has created a lot of unrest and havoc in the country in an effort to overthrow the Nigerian government and create and Islamic state.

Nigeria played tough football and even gave France a fright in the last 16 stage before Paul Pogba scored to put the African Nation out of the World Cup.

The World Cup was preceded by a number of protests on the roads of Sao Paulo and other cities over the expenses made for the World Cup despite the poverty in the country.

Anti-gay activists from Mexico also made their presence felt at the World Cup. 

Mexican fans were cleared of anti-gay chants in their opening World Cup match against Cameroon on June 13 and the Mexico FA will not be punished, FIFA had said later.

Mexico were reported for the slurs allegedly heard during their Group A clash in Natal.

In a statement FARE, the European monitoring group which has anti-gay spotters at matches, said it was disappointed by FIFA's decision not to take action against Mexico.

The Spanish words at the bottom of the banner read, "Faggots who read this! "

There were also fans from the muti-racial host nation, Brazil, who had a kind message to share.

A couple of months ago, Brazil and FC Barcelona's top defender Dani Alves was victim of racism during a La Liga match against Villareal.
