Michael Schumacher's wife talks to him to lure him out of coma

Michael Schumacher's wife Corinna, 44, spends hours talking to the seven-time Formula One world champion trying to lure him out of his induced coma.

Schumacher is being kept under anaesthetic at the University Hospital in France and his wife remains by his side for hours on end everyday in the University Hospital in Grenoble, France, talking him, without any response. Schumacher remains unresponsive while his anaesthetic is gradually reduced by his doctors.

The process to slowly bring him out of the coma began at the end of last month.

The former F1 driver was placed in an artificially induced coma after he struck a rock while skiing off-piste in the resort of Meribelon Dec 29. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital and received emergency brain surgery.

Doctors have warned the family, including children Gina Marie, 16 and son Mick, 14, that bringing Schumacher out of the coma could take weeks as the sleeping drugs make their way out of his body.

Also, the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic skiing accident of Formula One legend Michael Schumacher is reportedly likely to close in the next few days.

After a four-week inquiry, French investigators have passed their conclusions to the office of investigating prosecutor, following which the file of Schumacher's accident is likely to close.

That report mentioned that if that happens, then the makers of the equipment Schumacher was using, the manufacturer of the helmet he was wearing and the authorities who put up signage on the slopes around the rocky off-piste slopes near Meribel will effectively be cleared of any involvement in the accident.
