Brittney Griner’s life is bubbling. This 23-year-old basketball star player is used to the spotlight, but these days it has increasingly exceeded.
Phoenix Mercury defender posted few personal pictures on instagram that sneaked peaked into her sexuality.
The star basketball player proposed to her girlfriend, Glory Johnson.
The caption on the photo reads: “Last Night was a Night to Remember I became the happiest person on this earth! (Almost pass out but when that one word came out I came back to life) Me and my baby (Glory Johnson) are in it for Life!”
Griner is the only athlete with the distinction of having proposed to a player on a rival team.
The couple was celebrating their two-month anniversary when Griner decided to make things official.
Arizona and Oklahoma, the two home states of Griner and Johnson's teams have gay marriages banned but it is contested by the Supreme Court.
Griner did not disclose the wedding plans but the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) defensive player of the year, noted that her primary focus is on the WNBA playoffs.
Her team, Mercury is a favorite to win the title.
Glory Johnson, who plays for the Tulsa Shock, supports the 6’8 inches tall women's basketball star.
Griner played in China for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls as a chance to improve her game during the winter break.
