After the axing of Real Madrid coach Rafael Benitez, Manchester United are getting ready to re-launch a bid to sign Gareth Bale.

The Premier League giants want to sign Bale for a record-breaking deal.

The Welshman was thriving under Benitez and is understood to be disappointed to see him go.

At the start of the season the Real Madrid winger had said that he was happy at the Bernabeu and had no intention of moving to Manchester United. "I can't see myself at Manchester United," Bale told Spanish radio.

The 26-year-old midfielder was upset that so little patience has been shown in a coach he was very comfortable working with. So, United might just have a chance to grab Bale.
