Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek brushed aside the challenge of Colin Ebelthite and John Peers in straight sets to progress to the second round of the men's doubles event of the Wimbledon championships on Thursday.
The fourth seed Indo-Czech pair scored an easy 6-2, 6-4, 6-2 win over the unseeded Australian combination in just one hour 31 minutes at court number seven.
Paes and Stepanek converted three of the five chances in the first set to take lead in just 25 minutes.
Second set was no different as the Indo-Czech combination was too good for the rivals.
They next face Israeli pair of Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram in the second round. Erlich and Ram had come through a gruelling five-setter against Treat Conrad Huey and Dominic Inglot in their opening round match.
India's Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna had also booked a second round berth, yesterday. They had beaten Marcel Felder and Malek Jaziri.
