Leander Paes and Elena Vesnina moved into the semi-finals of the mixed doubles of Wimbledon with a comprehensive 6-2, 6-2 win over Paul Hanley and Alla Kudryavtseva on Friday.

The fourth seeds now stand a chance to play the top seeded American pair of Bob Bryan and Liezel Huber in the last four. The Americans face the eighth seeded Canadian-German pairing of Daniel Nestor and Julie Georges in the quarters.

Paes is looking to win his fourth mixed doubles title at the All England Club.

The Indian veteran partnered American Lisa Raymond for his first win in 1999.

He won his second in 2003, in partnership with the legendary Martina Navratilova, while a third title came his way seven years later, on this occasion in partnership with Zimbabwean Cara Black.

Paes was also a beaten finalist in the event in 2009 (partnering Black).
