The Chile national team has restricted the usage of smart phones to two hours per day in a bid to avoid distractions from social media in the run-up to FIFA Under-17 World Cup starting October 6.

"They have a fixed quota of two hours per day for the usage of smart devices. The coach is very particular about it and is aware how social networking or gaming can hamper their preparation," a Chile team official said on the sidelines of their second day's practice at a private club in Kolkata on Tuesday.

Earlier, the La Roja juniors made a trip of the Mother House to have a feel of the city's rich heritage.

Chile chief coach Hernan Caputo is trying out various innovative ideas in the build up to the tournament like a Hatha Yoga session from Bikram and watching Shah Rukh Khan inspirational sports movie Chak De! India.

Chile will open their campaign against England on October 8 in the 5pm match at the Saltlake Stadium, and they also have Iraq and Mexico in a tough group F.

Their best finish -- a third place -- came in their tournament debut in Japan-1993 and Caputo's boys will be eyeing their maiden triumph.

In Egypt-1997, Chile were knocked out in the group phase while they made a last-16 exit on home soil two years ago.
