Tvesa Malik completed a fine start-to-finish victory, despite dropping a double bogey and a bogey in the last three holes, at the Usha Delhi Golf Club Ladies Open, at the Delhi Golf Club.

It also brought Tvesa her maiden title this season.

With her closest contender Millie Saroha struggling to a 83, Tvesa kept her nose ahead even as Amandeep Drall and Gauri Monga turned in 74 each on the final day.

Tvesa totaled 227 while Amandeep was two shots behind and Gauri Monga one further down.

Milkha Singh, the Flying Sikh, who is known to play a round of golf every day despite being over 80 years of age, and Sidharth Shriram, Usha's co-chairman, and former PGA president, gave away the prizes at the closing ceremony.

Tvesa, who was in the lead from Day 1, had two birdies and two double bogeys besides four other bogeys, but her play on the first two days carried her through.

Amandeep Drall, with two birdies, one on either side of the turn, and four bogeys, one on the front nine and three on the back nine, registered a 74 that helped her finish second.

Gauri Monga, opening with birdies on first two holes, also carded an even par on front nine and two over on back nine for a 74 that saw her finish third. Millie Saroha (83) slipped to fourth after being second overnight.
