Manchester City defender Ruben Dias has signed a six-year contract extension until 2027, the Premier League club said on Monday.
Dias, 24, joined City from Benfica last year and was a mainstay of Pep Guardiola's defence as he helped the club win the Premier League title and reach the Champions League final.
The Portugal international was named the Premier League Player of the Season as well as England's Footballer of the Year in a stellar debut campaign.
"Although he only joined us less than a year ago, in that time Ruben has already proved to be such a vital part of our squad," City's director of football Txiki Begiristain said in a statement.
"And it tells you everything about his quality and importance to the club that we wanted to recognise his impact with this new contract."
City are seventh in the standings after three games, three points behind leaders Tottenham Hotspur. They host Leicester City on September 11 after the international break.
Bayern sign Austria midfielder Sabitzer from Leipzig
Bayern Munich have completed the signing of midfielder Marcel Sabitzer on a four-year contract from RB Leipzig, the Bundesliga clubs said on Monday.
German media reported that Bayern paid a fee in the region of 16 million euros ($18.9 million) for the Austria international.
Sabitzer joined Leipzig from Rapid Vienna in 2014, playing 229 times for the club in all competitions and scoring 52 goals.
The 27-year-old attacking midfielder played two seasons at Leipzig under manager Julian Nagelsmann, who was appointed Bayern head coach in April.
"Marcel Sabitzer offers everything that an FC Bayern player needs. On top of that, he won't need long to settle in as he's already well-acquainted with the philosophy of our coach Julian Nagelsmann," said Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn.
Bayern, who thrashed Hertha Berlin 5-0 on Saturday, are third in the Bundesliga. Leipzig occupy 10th place with one win from three games.
AC Milan re-sign Chelsea's Bakayoko on loan
AC Milan have signed midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea on a two-year loan with an option to make the move permanent, the clubs said on Monday.
The 27-year-old Frenchman moved to Chelsea in 2017 but failed to establish himself as regular, spending much of his time out on loan including a previous stint at Milan during the 2018-19 season when he made 42 appearances in all competitions.
He spent the last two seasons on loan at Monaco and Napoli, respectively.
"AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of (Bakayoko) from Chelsea FC on a two-year loan, which could turn into an obligation if certain conditions are met," the Serie A club said in a statement.
Milan, who beat Cagliari 4-1 on Sunday, have won both their league games so far and sit fourth in the Serie A table.
Man United winger Diallo out for six weeks, loan move on hold
Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has suffered a thigh injury and will be out for six weeks, putting his planned loan move to Dutch side Feyenoord on hold, the Premier League club said on Monday.
"Amad has sustained a thigh muscle injury in training and is likely to be out for six weeks," Manchester United said in a statement.
"Unfortunately, this happened just before his planned loan move to Feyenoord. Amad will remain at United and rehabilitate back to full fitness."
The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international, who joined United from Italian side Atalanta in January, has made eight appearances for the club, scoring one goal.
Brighton's Zeqiri joins Augsburg on loan
Brighton & Hove Albion's Swiss striker Andi Zeqiri has joined Bundesliga side Augsburg on a season-long loan, the clubs said on Monday.
The 22-year-old moved to Brighton from Swiss team Lausanne-Sport in 2020, making nine league appearances last season.
"He is a player with a strong mentality... he has all the qualities that a good attacker needs; his pace and finishing ability will boost our play," Augsburg general manager Stefan Reuter said.
Brighton, who lost 2-0 to Everton on Saturday, sit eighth in the Premier League table. Augsburg are second bottom of the Bundesliga standings.

The midfielder joined the Valencia academy aged 10, making his first-team debut aged 17 in the 2018-19 season. He went on to make 51 appearances at Mestalla, scoring three times.
