Top seeds Sania-Dodig crash out of US Open

Sania Mirza and Ivan DodigIndia's Sania Mirza and her partner Ivan Dodig were knocked out by Barbora Krejcikova and Marin Draganja in the mixed doubles at the 2016 US Open. 

The top seeded Sania-DOdig lost to unseeded Krejcikova-Draganja 3-6, 4-6 in mixed-doubles 2nd round on Sunday.

In the match that lasted 65 minutes, Mirza-Dodig were broken twice in the first four games and they eventually lost the first set at 3-6.

In the second set, the Czech-Croat pair broke thrice despite being themselves broken twice to wrap the set at 6-4.

It was the 71 percent overall points that they won first serve which made the overall difference.
