Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna had to be content with a runners-up finish at the ATP Cincinnati Masters.

They were beaten in the summit clash of the $2,825,280 hard court event in straight sets by fourth seeds Robert Lindstedt of Sweden and Romania's Horia Tecau.

The sixth seed Indian pair lost 4-6, 4-6.

Bhupathi-Bopanna played their second final of the season. They won the Dubai ATP event in February.

India's Leander Paes and Czech Radek Stepanek had bowed out in the second round.
