Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has not travelled with the team for Thursday's Europa Conference League playoff first leg against Pacos de Ferreira, British media reported on Wednesday.

Kane had been originally named in the 25-man squad for the trip to Portugal by manager Nuno Espirito Santo but is now expected to stay back in London to work on his fitness.

The England captain also missed Tottenham's win against Manchester City in their Premier League opener over the weekend after being unable to train due to self-isolation requirements.

The 28-year-old has been a transfer target for Manchester City, with City boss Pep Guardiola saying that it was up to Tottenham to make the move happen.

Kane told Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy at the end of last season that he wanted to leave the club in order to challenge for major trophies, according to media reports.

Italian Locatelli completes Juventus move

Manuel Locatelli, one of Italy's standout performers in their Euro 2020 success, has completed a loan move to Juventus from Sassuolo, the Turin side said on Wednesday.

The deal includes a 37.5 million euro ($40.94 million) -- including add-ons -- obligation to buy at the end of the 2022-23 season, subject to certain conditions.

"Manuel is an absolute quality and security in midfield, bringing a level of class that few have. The giant steps he has made in the top-flight, after a period at Atalanta and Milan's youth teams, only confirms this," Juventus said in a statement.

The Lecce-born midfielder, 23, scored twice in Italy's 3-0 group stage win over Switzerland to help secure a last-16 berth for the eventual champions.

He has scored three times for Italy in 15 appearances.

Juventus endured a difficult campaign last season, with the defending champions finishing fourth under rookie coach Andrea Pirlo, leading to Massimiliano Allegri returning to take over as coach for a second spell.

They begin their 2021-22 Serie A season at Udinese on Sunday.

Defender Rahul Bheke joins Mumbai City FC

Reigning ISL champions Mumbai City FC on Thursday announced the arrival of defender Rahul Bheke, who joined the club on a two-year contract until the end of the 2022-23 season.

Bheke is also a seasoned campaigner in the ISL having featured for sides like Kerala Blasters, FC Pune City and most recently Bengaluru FC, making 92 appearances over the last six seasons.

"This is my hometown club and of course, the defending champions. The feeling of representing your city and your people is what makes this game more special for me, and I did not have to think twice when the opportunity to join Mumbai City came about," Bheke said in a statement.

The 30-year-old, who can play across the back line, started his career through the youth sides of Mahindra United and went on to play for Air India, Mumbai Tigers and Mumbai FC before moving to East Bengal in 2015.

Bheke has also scored five times in the ISL, including an extra-time winner in the 2018-19 ISL final leading Bengaluru FC to the title.

Currently with the Indian National Team's preparatory camp in Kolkata ahead of the international friendlies, Bheke has been capped 13 times since making his debut for India against Curaçao in June 2019 during the Kings' Cup in Thailand.

Head Coach, Sergio Lobera described Bheke as an "experienced professional".

"He's tremendously versatile in his abilities and he brings the traits of a leader, which is highly regarded in our club. Rahul knows what it takes to be a winner and he has the right mentality.

"We are happy to have him here and I am confident that he can contribute positively at Mumbai City," said Lobera.

Chelsea winger Kenedy moves to Flamengo on loan

Chelsea winger Kenedy has extended his contract at the club until June 2023 and joined Brazilian champions Flamengo on a season-long loan, the Premier League club said on Wednesday.

This is the fifth time Kenedy has been sent out on loan since joining Chelsea in 2015, previously having spells at Watford, Newcastle United, Getafe and Granada.

The 25-year-old made 44 appearances in all competitions for Granada last season, scoring eight goals and assisting six times.

Earlier on Wednesday, Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi also signed a new contract until 2023 and moved to Turkish side Besiktas on loan for the rest of the season.

Sheff Utd goalkeeper Ramsdale misses match amid Arsenal links

Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale missed their Championship (second tier) defeat by West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday amid ongoing speculation about a move to Premier League club Arsenal.

Reports in British media said Arsenal were on the verge of finalising an agreement to sign Ramsdale, with an initial fee in the region of 24 million pounds ($32.93 million).

Sheffield United manager Slavisa Jokanovic said before the match, which they lost 4-0, that the 23-year-old was not "in the right state of mind".

"We felt he was not ready for the game. We took the decision not to use him," he told Sky Sports.

Ramsdale, who joined the club from Bournemouth in August last year, played all 38 games in the Premier League last season. He was named the club's Player of the Year but was unable to prevent them being relegated.

Arsenal reportedly reach agreement with Real Madrid for Odegaard transfer

Reports in the English press suggest that Arsenal have signed Real Madrid playmaker Martin Odegaard.

The 22-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at the Emirates Stadium, scoring two goals in 20 appearances for the north London club.

The Norwegian international returned to Madrid and was hoping to get a chance under Carlo Ancelotti this season.

The clubs have reportedly agreed a deal in the region of £30 million (41.25 million US dollars) for the attacking midfielder.

Odegaard joined Madrid as a 16-year-old in January 2015 from Stromsgodset in his homeland and later spent two seasons on loan at Heerenveen, before temporary stints with Vitesse Arnhem, Real Sociedad and Arsenal.

Turkey midfielder Tufan joins Watford on loan

Watford have signed midfielder Ozan Tufan from Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce on a season-long loan with an option to buy, the Premier League club said on Thursday.

The Turkey international started his career at Bursaspor before joining Fenerbahce in 2015, where he made 174 appearances in all competitions. He also had a loan spell at Alanyaspor.

The 26-year-old has played 63 times for his country.
