Former England cricketer Geoffrey Boycott's dream of meeting Katy Perry finally came true on Tuesday night after he went to see her perform in Manchester, and was given the opportunity to meet her backstage.
The 73-year-old has previously spoken of his admiration for the brunette beauty and her music, but never thought he'd have the chance to meet her.

A photo of the pair together, with 29-year-old Perry wearing what appeared to be a polka dot bathrobe, was posted online later.
Boycott's interest in the singer first emerged nearly three years ago when he mentioned it during a BBC Test Match Special, saying: "I like that Katy Perry - she's a good singer. Firework - that was a good record, that. She's nice, her."
When asked by commentator Henry Blofeld whether it was her looks which had caught his eye, he said that he likes her singing as well.

Elin Nordegren 'moving on' post Tiger Woods split

Elin Nordegren has finally broken her silence since her divorce from Tiger Woods four years back.
In an at-home interview marking her May 10 graduation with top honors from RollinsCollege, Nordegren told People magazine that things are ‘really good’" between her and Woods.
The golf star lives just a 25-minute drive apart in southern Florida and see each other regularly as they share custody of daughter Sam and son Charlie.
Nordegren said that she has ‘moved on and is in a good place.’
She added that her relationship with Woods is centered around their children and they are doing really good, praising him to be a great father.

David Beckham has revealed that he found wearing the sarong ‘great’.
The 39-year-old English former footballer admitted that he has sometimes overstepped the mark by wearing something in the past that a footballer wouldn't wear, but he added that everyone should be allowed to be who they are and dress how they want to.
The husband of former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham confessed that he is not bothered about people mocking his fashion disasters, as he thinks he ‘looks great’ in a dress.
Beckham had been criticised for donning a sarong on holiday in the South of France in 1998.
