Stanislas Wawrinka was reportedly taken aback by the Melbourne Park Crowd's hostility towards Rafael Nadal during Sunday's Australian Open final.
Nadal, who recently returned from treatment for a back injury, was booed by spectators after he took an off-court medical timeout during his match with Wawrinka.

Expressing his displeasure over the crowd's attitude towards Nadal, Wawrinka said that it was not really nice of the crowd and praised the champion for his attempt in spite of injury, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Wawrinka had challenged Chair umpire Carlos Ramos to provide the specifics of the injury during the seven minute break at 2-1 in the second set.
Meanwhile Nadal said that he wanted to try his best until the end and could understand the disappointment of the crowd.
