Commonwealth Games bronze winner Sanjeev Rajput booked a berth in the London Olympics on Thursday after winning the gold medal at the 50m Rifle 3 Positions men's final at the shooting World Cup in Changwon, Korea.
He is the third Indian marksman to seal a place in the Olympics competition.
Sanjeev shot a total of 1278.2 (398+386+392+102.2) points to beat Serbian Nemanja Mirosavljev (1272.5) and Ole Kristian Bryhn (1271.9) of Norway and clinch the gold.
World record holder Gagan Narang was the first Indian shooter to book a place in the London Olympics when he won the bronze medal in men's 10m air rifle in the World Shooting Championships in Munich last year.
Rookie shooter Hariom Singh bagged the country's second quota place -- the first ever in the 50m rifle prone event for the Games -- when he finished sixth at the 50th World Shooting Championship in Munich last year.
More than 500 shooters from 58 countries competed in the World Cup in Korea, from April 7 to 14.
The ISSF World Cup Series now moves to Beijing, where a Shotgun World Cup Stage will take place at the 2008 Clay Target Olympic venue, starting April 19.
The next events are set for May 14, when the ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup stage kicks-off in Fort Benning, US.
