Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis are just a victory from clinching their eighth women’s doubles title this season.
The top seeded Indo-Swiss pair stormed into the final of the China Open, beating the wild card Chinese duo of Chen Liang and Yafan Wang 6-2, 6-3 in the semi-finals, in Beijing, on Friday.
They needed just 66 minutes to get through, effecting four breaks of service in the first set and one in the second.
They meet the winners of the second semi-final, between Casey Dellacqua of Australia-Yaroslava Shveedova and the Chinese Taipei pair of Hao-Ching Chan and Yung-Jan Chan.
Sania and Hingis, who teamed up in March, have won seven doubles titles this year, including Wimbledon and the US Open.
Their WTA titles this year include Indian Wells, Miami, Charleston, Guangzhou and Wuhan.
Their last three tournaments were won without dropping a set.
