Eyeing their eight title of the season, Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza and her doubles partner Swiss Martina Hingis entered the semi-finals of the China Open in Beijing on Thursday.
Fresh from their Wuhan Open triumph, the top seeds prevailed over the German-Czech pair of Julia Goerges and Karolina Pliskova 7-6(5), 6-4 in tough their quarter-final that lasted an hour and 20 minutes.
The Indo-Swiss combination has bagged seven women's doubles titles so far this year, including two Grand Slams -- Wimbledon and the US Open -- since they started playing together in March.
Their WTA titles together this year include Indian Wells, Miami, Charleston, Guangzhou and Wuhan.
They won their last three tournaments without dropping a single set.
Earlier, Indian tennis ace Sania and Hingis continued their sublime form as they progressed through to the quarter-finals on Wednesday.
They returned brilliantly after their first set defeat to claim a 1-6, 6-4, 10-6 win over Sara Errani and Flavia Pennetta in a thrilling second round contest that lasted an hour and 16 minutes.
