Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis were beaten in the semi-finals at the WTA Aegon International doubles in Eastbourne on Friday.
The top seeds lost to the fourth seeded French-Slovak combine of Caroline Garcia and Katarina Srebotnik 5-7, 4-6 in 81 minutes.
The Indo-Swiss pair split US $11,360 in prize-money and collected 185 ranking points each from the grass-court tournament, the last before the Wimbledon Championships.
Sania-Hingis had 15 break chances but converted only three while Caroline-Katarina effected five breaks from the 12 they forced.
