The second seeded Indo-Russian pair scored a 6-1, 3-6, 10-2 in the second round of the $5,536,664 hard court tournament.
They await the winner of the other second round match between the pairs of Irina-Camelia Begu/Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez and Gisela Dulko/Paola Suarez.
Sania's singles campaign had ended with a second round defeat against world number 26 Anabel Medina Garrigues.
