Portugal football team captain Cristiano Ronaldo might have some competition in the run for the Ballon d'Or award this year but the forward has no competition when it comes to having the best hair in the game as he won the Salon d'Or for the best hair in the game.

Ronaldo was voted the winner of the Salon d'Or award by Goal magazine after they got readers to decide whose mane they liked the best. Ronaldo claimed an overwhelming victory with 32 per cent of the vote.

Hair stylist Daniel Johnson revealed that Ronaldo deserves this victory, adding that the Real Madrid star wears his hair like the badge on his shirt, with serious pride.

Johnson explained that what's great about Ronaldo's hairstyle is that it suits difference face shapes and added that the shape of the face is vital, and he believes that that would have been a factor in the voting.
