Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis produced a sublime performance as they marched into the quarter-finals of the women's doubles at the Rogers Cup in Toronto on Friday.
The Indo-Swiss pair thrashed the Briton-American pair of Naomi Broady and Shelby Rogers 6-1, 6-1 in the third round contest that lasted 43 minutes.
Mirza-Hingis will next face the American duo of Christina Mchale and Asia Muhammad in the last eight.
Meanwhile, in the men's doubles, Rohan Bopanna and his new partner Jean-Julien Rojer suffered a major blow as they were knocked out of the tournament after losing 6-1, 6-4 to the Czech Republic pair of Tomas Berdych and Radek Stepanek.
