Badminton: Attri-Reddy beat Japanese duo to win last group game

The Indian pair of Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy beat Japanese duo Hiroyuki Endo/Kenichi Hayakawa 23-21, 21-11 to win their 2nd Group B men's doubles match on Saturday.

After trailing 9-11 at one point the Indian pair crawled their way up 20-19 before tieing 21-21 in the first game. They finally won the opening game 23-21.

In the second game the Indians raced to a 4-1 lead after some good defending shown by Attri. The Indian duo then jumped to a six point advantage going up 11-5 at the break.

They maintained the momentum to win by a 10-point margin in the 2nd game.
