Serena Williams advanced into the second week of the US Open on Saturday, September 5, surviving a third-round scare from fellow American Sloane Stephens before winning 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 in her toughest test so far at this year's tournament.

Serena hoped her baby saw her momma fighting, but 'I don't think she was paying attention, between you and me.'
