PHOTOS: Stars descend in all their glory at Sports Awards night

It was a starry, starry night as sporting excellence was recognised and sports personalities honoured at the Times of India Sports Awards (TOISA), which were held at a city hotel in Mumbai on Monday.

Ace shuttler and Rio Olympics silver medalist P V Sindhu was bestowed the Best Sportsperson of the Year award Sindhu was also given the best Badminton player for the year award, selected by the jury. Shuttler Kidambi Srikanth bagged the best badminton player award in the people's choice category.

Among others who won the award were for wrestler Sakshi Malik who won Wrestler of the Year, while cricketers R Ashwin and India team skipper Virat Kohli were bestowed with best cricketer award and the people's choice award, respectively.
