India’s legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar spent the day with ‘young citizens’ from Make a Wish. The ‘God’ of cricket tweeted, “They (kids) have great hope and positivity. Enjoyed the evening chatting and playing cricket. Picking up a bat for these children was special!”
Make a Wish is an initiative which grants the wishes of children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with joy and hope.
London Olympics bronze medalist boxer, MC Mary Kom said, “Celebrate the independence but do not forget the martyrs who gave up their lives for our freedom.”
