Ozil signs 40 million five-year contract with Arsenal?

German midfielder Mesut Ozil has joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in £40 million deal on Monday, it has been reported.

Mesut OzilThe 24-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Gunners, following the second part of his medical in Munich.

With this deal, Ozil has become Arsenal’s highest paid player.

Ozil has played more than 100 games for Real, who beat off competition from Arsenal and Manchester United to sign their man following the World Cup in South Africa in 2010.

Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain hac also been strongly linked with Ozil in recent days.
