Nigeria registered their biggest win over a major footballing country by thrashing a depleted Argentina side 4-1 in a friendly on Wednesday.
Ike Uche scored twice in the first half on either side of a soft penalty to effectively kill off the contest by halftime.
Uche benefited from a wicked deflection to open the scoring in the 10th minute before Victor Obinna converted a hotly contested penalty 17 minutes later.
Nigeria then caught the second-string Argentine side on the counter attack for their next two goals, from Uche in the 40th minute and Emanuel Emunike early in the second half.
Argentina were handed an equally controversial penalty in the eighth minute of stoppage time, converted by Mauro Boselli.
