There was a light moment that ensued during a Rafael Nadal’s press conference after his easy win over James Duckworth at the Australian Open on Monday.

While taking questions about his first round victory, the World No 2 spotted a journalist snoozing away in the corner of the room.

Nadal then looked at the others and said: “Not interesting today,” bursting into laughter.

When the journalist was awoken he looked in the direction of the journo and said “buongiorno”.

“I know you were closing your eyes to be more focussed on what I’m saying.”

Seems like press conferences are where all the fun is taking place these days.

Last week, Australia cricket captain Tim Paine was at it, when he answered a phone call meant for a journalist present in the room.
