The Indians dominated the proceedings from the start and broke in the third game, but the Serbians returned the break immediately get level at 2-2.
However both Zimonjic and Ivanovic's serve was broken once each in the fifth and seventh games before Paes-Sania closed out the set at 6-2, in 26 minutes.
In the second game, Paes-Mirza got an all-important break in the first game and held serve thereafter to seal the match in the 10th game.
Paes was as usual amazing at the net with timely anticipations, but Sania too deserves credit for the victory. She came up with some fantastic winners, including a few booming forehand returns and lovely down the line shots to complement the efforts of her senior partner.
