Leander Paes and the Czech Republic's Lukas Dlouhy stumbled yet again in the second round, crashing out of the Cincinnati Masters, following a straight-set defeat to Mardy Fish and Mark Knowles.

Seeded third, they lost 3-6, 2-6 to the unseeded American-Bahamas pair.

This is third straight time that Paes and Dlouhy failed to progress beyond the second round. Last week they lost at the same stage in the Toronto Masters and before that at Wimbledon.

Paes and Dlouhy shared US $9670 as prize-money and earned 90 ranking points each.

Following Paes's ouster, Mahesh Bhupathi remains the lone Indian in the fray in the US $24,30,000 hardcourt event.

Bhupathi and his Belarusian partner Max Mirnyi are up against Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski, who ousted Rohan Bopanna and Aiam-ul-Haq Qureshi in their second round match.

India's No 1 singles player Somdev Devvarman had lost in the first round of the singles event.
