India's challenge at the Korean Open ended after the women's doubles pair of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa lost their quarter-final match in the Super Series tournament in Seoul on Friday.
The Indian pair went down 16-21, 15-21 to eighth seeds Qing Tian and Yunlei Zhao in a 30 minute showdown.
Jwala and V Diju had lost their second round match against the sixth seeded Chinese pair of Tao Jiaming and Qing Tian in the mixed doubles category on Friday.
Saina Nehwal and P Kashyap were the other Indians who were shown the door in the second round in the singles category on Thursday.
