NorthEast United FC and Jamshedpur FC played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the Indian Super League, at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, in Guwahati, on Monday.
Out of contention for a play-offs berth, both teams showed plenty of desire to win but had to settle for a point each eventually.
Federico Gallego gave NorthEast, who hadn't scored in their last five matches, an early lead, scoring within five minutes, but Jamshedpur’s David Grande made it 1-1 late in the first half.
Redeem Tlang regained the lead (2-1) for NorthEast in the 77th minute.
Noe Acosta scored from open play, after his penalty kick was saved, to restore parity for Jamshedpur in the 82nd minute.
Memo Moura gave the visitors the lead three minutes later, but Jose Leudo levelled things at 3-3 in the 88th minute.
In between the last two goals of the night, Farukh Choudhary was sent off after his second booking.
Jamshedpur are seventh in the points table with 17 points from 16 matches, while NorthEast United are placed ninth among the 10 teams with 13 points from 15 matches.
