India's Leander Paes and Rohan Bopanna sailed into the men's doubles third round with their respective partners at the French Open in Paris on Friday.
Sixth seeds Bopanna and Florian Mergea defeated the French pair of Gregoire Barrere and Quentin Halys 6-3 6-4 in the second round here.
Paes, playing with Polish partner Marcin Matkowski, too won their second round match comfortably.
The 16th seeds beat the Austrian-German combine of Julian Knowle and Florian Mayer 6-4, 6-3 on Court 14 at Roland Garros.
Later in the day, women's doubles top seeds, Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis thrashed Japanese pair of Eri Hozumi and Nao Hibino 6-2, 6-0 to sail into the third round.
Sania and Hingis will next take on Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova of Czech Republic.
A day before, Hingis had won her mixed double game with Paes, while Sania also recorded victory in mixed doubles.
