Real Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo has dismissed talk of an astronomical 150 million pound switch to Manchester City, saying that he is very happy living in Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo"It's not bad huh? We have to think about it well. I'm not going to City. I give you my word. I'm not going. Money is not the most important thing," The Sun quoted Ronaldo, as saying.

"If it was for money I could have the double of what I have. If it was for money I would leave. The most important thing is the behaviour of the people and they treat me tremendously here and I am very happy in Madrid," he added.

The 26-year-old, who has four years left on his contract, further insisted that he might sign for life for Real Madrid to end all talk of a move to City.

"I would sign for 10 years for Madrid, until the end of my career. Why not sign for life?" Ronaldo said.

Ronaldo is the most expensive player in football history after moving from Manchester United to Real Madrid in a transfer deal worth 80 million pounds in 2009.

He has scored 87 goals in 89 matches for the Spanish giants.

Vidic rules out transfer move to Juventus

Meanwhile, Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has no intention of leaving the club this year, his agent Silvano Martina has said.

Vidic has been linked with a move to Juventus despite having three years left on his current United contract.

"He's a player everyone wants. I talked to him about a hypothetical transfer and he said 'I am the captain of Manchester United, earning well, I've won almost everything. Why should I go to Italy when Italian football is going through a turbulent period?'," The Sun quoted Martina, as saying.

"This response removes any doubt about where his future lies - he stays where he is," he added.

Vidic had joined United from Spartak Moscow in January 2006 and signed a fresh four-year contract in August last year.

The 29-year-old had lifted the Premier League trophy last month and led the club to the Champions League final, where they lost to Barcelona.
