Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has admitted that losing the world championship title to his team-mate Nico Rosberg will be 'painful', but vowed to keep fighting for it till the bitter end.

The three-time World Champion is currently 19 points behind Rosberg and he could lose his chances of retaining the title if the German wins this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix.

Rosberg only needs runner-up results in the final two Formula One races of the season to secure his maiden title.

"One outcome would be painful and the other would be a great achievement. Regardless, I'm going to keep pushing. Since the beginning of my Formula One career I've seen that everything can change even at the very last moment, so you have to fight to the bitter end," Hamilton was quoted as saying as Sport24.

Hamilton, who has never clinched victory in Brazil, would aim to create history when he takes on the track this Sunday.

"I've never won in Brazil, so I go into this weekend focused on changing that," he insisted.

Recently, the Briton driver claimed victories in America and Mexico to keep his championship hopes alive.

Reflecting on the same, Hamilton said, "It's a great feeling when you're able to show the kind of pace I've shown at the past two races."
